Polish CV vs. US resume vs. UK CV
An English CV is not only a different language — the personal details and format change too. These are the most common conventions.

These are general conventions, not rules — if the job ad asks for something else, follow the ad. Write months as words: 03/04/2025 is March 4 in the US and 3 April in Poland.
How to write Polish degrees in English
Degree names are what gets mistranslated most. Keep the university name in Polish and explain the qualification in English.
- Matura (świadectwo dojrzałości)
- High school diploma (Matura).
- Technikum
- "Technical secondary school (technikum) with a vocational qualification in …".
- Licencjat
- Bachelor's degree (3 years), with the field: "Bachelor's degree in Economics, Uniwersytet Warszawski".
- Inżynier
- Bachelor of Engineering (BEng, 3.5–4 years).
- Magister / magister inżynier
- Master's degree / Master of Science in Engineering.
- Studia podyplomowe
- Not a Master's degree: "Postgraduate diploma programme in … (1 year)".
- Diploma grade
- Do not convert it to a GPA yourself. Write "Final grade: very good (5 on a 2–5 scale)", or get an official equivalence from a credential evaluation service such as WES (US and Canada) or UK ENIC (UK).

Should I keep the RODO clause on an English CV?
Not for the US or the UK — delete it in the editor. Keep a GDPR consent line only if the job ad asks for it.
Should an English resume have a photo?
For the US and the UK, usually not. In MyEasyCV the photo is optional — if you do not add one, your English CV has none.
American or British English?
Use the one of the country you apply in: American for the US (organize, center), British for the UK (organise, centre). Ask for it in the optional note and check it in the editor.
How do I write "licencjat" and "magister" in English?
Licencjat is a "Bachelor's degree", magister a "Master's degree" and inżynier a "Bachelor of Engineering". Add the field and the university's Polish name.
